General COE Scholarship Application

Through the generosity of alumni and friends, the College of Education (COE) offers scholarships to talented undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in one of our academic programs. 

COE scholarships are awarded based on merit, scholarship application materials, and a variety of other factors in an effort to offer students support in pursuing their degrees and professional futures by removing as many barriers to those goals as possible. Please review the following sections to determine for which scholarships you are eligible to apply and appropriate deadlines. 

College of Education Scholarship Application Deadline for Academic Year 2023-2024 is 11:59pm EST on September 1, 2023. 

Scholarship applications may be completed via our . A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or faculty member must also be submitted with your application. Please have the individual who is writing your letter of recommendation email their letter to The letter should be in PDF format, and the applicant's name (your name) should appear in the subject line (Ex: Doe, Jane Marie _ LOR _ LastNameOfRecommedor).  We will not review your scholarship application until receipt of a completed recommendation.

Letters of recommendation should include the following applicant criteria:

  • Academic performance
  • Financial need
  • Leadership and contributions to the field of Education
  • Commitment to promoting a diverse, multicultural community

If selected, scholarship recipients must:

  • Accept scholarship by submitting online submission form.
  • Write a thank you letter to scholarship donor.
